I don’t want to start any blasphemous rumors…

Q:  I’ve heard many times, from varied sources, that Walt Disney was cryonically frozen and put into storage under The Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland. Can you speak to this? A: Yes, I can. I don’t know how such wild stories get started. There is absolutely no truth to this. That fact is… Read More »I don’t want to start any blasphemous rumors…

Good answer to Will you change travel plans question

I’ve had a few great responses to my desire to know how Disney’s recent spate of deaths and injuries has affected your travel plans, if at all. I’m happy to say that everybody appears to be fairly sane, is a little more cautious. I wanted to post this response I got through another channel as… Read More »Good answer to Will you change travel plans question

Will the recent accidents, injuries, and deaths keep you away?

Disney theme parks are receiving lots of attention this summer, but not all of its due to the Happiest Celebration on Earth. A 3-month rash of injuries, accidents, and deaths has focused media attention on some of Disney’s flaws. The Orlando Sentinel doesn’t think it will affect attendance at the parks. How about you? Sign In at Walt Disney World

When I was a kid, Disney was gradiose, the characters larger-than-life

day. Now, I focus on different things, my awareness and perception are
different, and my expectations much lower. The heat and high humidity
might have had something to do with it.

Douglas Bowman,  of the always significant StopDesign blog, has a post up that looks at his visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. The accompanying signage focused photo gallery is beautiful.

Virtual Disneyworld: Constructed One Pixel At A Time

At some point in the last few years we’ve leaped over the technological sound barrier that left 3D computer modelling solely in the hands of those who could afford the really powerful computers. We have the Adventure Through Inner Space DVD, an excellent recreation of the infamous ‘snogging’ ride. We also have the Haunted Mansion… Read More »Virtual Disneyworld: Constructed One Pixel At A Time
