Part of Disney’s MagicBands Testing? Here’s Everything you Need to Know.

Magic-Bands-002

Disney is continuing to roll out MagicBands, the handy dandy alternative to your Key to the World Card, across property. While Disney originally planned to roll out the bands property-wide by the middle of this month, it now appears that testing will continue at least through November. What does this mean for you? Well, if you’re going to Disney World between now and Christmas you’ll most likely use the bands, although you should monitor the situation. Using the bands isn’t complicated, but it requires you to take several steps before you travel. First things first, you’ll want to get set up online with Disney.

1.  Go to MyDisneyExperience.com and log into your account. If you don’t have one, you’ll want to create an account, which takes only a few minutes.

2. Once there, add your resort reservation.  This is your confirmation number and the lead guest’s last name.  You can customize each guest with a cute Disney-themed avatar at this time.  If you have a Disney package, your tickets will be automatically added. If you don’t have tickets on your package, you’ll have to have to add them manually. This can be a problem if you’re buying them at check-in, because you can’t choose fastpasses until you have a valid ticket.Read More »Part of Disney’s MagicBands Testing? Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray Review

Iron Man 3, despite having a plot twist that kills the fan boy inside of me every time I see it, is currently my favorite movie this year. It is very different in tone than the first two movies, but I think that’s good. The… Read More »Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray Review

Avatar Revealed in New Concept Art and Model for Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Avatar_6

Disney Parks Chair Tom Staggs was the first to reach out to Director James Cameron with the idea to bring the worlds of Avatar to life at Disney’s theme parks. At Japan’s D23 event, Staggs shared the most details yet about the exciting plans for the first Avatar-land to be built at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Currently scheduled to open in 2017, Avatar will take guests to the mythical world of Pandora, inspired by Cameron’s Avatar. The awe-inspiring land of floating mountains, bio-luminescence rainforests and soaring Banshees will become real for Disney guests to see, hear and touch. The Avatar-inspired land will be part of the largest expansion in Disney’s Animal Kingdom history.

Four pieces of concept art and one photo of Staggs, Cameron and Imagineer Joe Rohde were published. These appear to confirm many of the rumors about the land, including the presence of a boat ride and an emphasis on the bioluminescent glowing plants night effects that wowed so many in the movies. Guests will also be able to soar into the sky on the backs of a Banshee. The latter, is expected to be a motion platform projection movie experience similar to Soarin’ but with the latest digital technology (and most-likely 3D).

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Pilot Preview

Once-Upon-a-Time-in-Wonderland

It’s the series premier I’ve been most looking forward to all season, and it’s happening Thursday at 8/7C!

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland is the spin off from ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Unlike other spin offs, we aren’t losing any characters from the mother program. However, we have been to Wonderland a couple of times before.

This series will tell it’s own story not necessarily tied in to the original. But it will have the Once twist on the classic story. Alice is older and while on her trip to Wonderland, she meets a genie and falls in love. However, she witnesses the genie be killed before she returns to our world.

SOPHIE LOWE

Or so she thinks.Read More »Once Upon a Time in Wonderland Pilot Preview

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Episode 3 Preview – The Asset

Disney Marvel Shield

Previously, on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D:

The team went to Peru to figure out what the 0-8-4 is.

On the way, Skye begins questioning her place on the team, as do some of her teammates.

In Peru they find the object in question. We then get our first glimpse of Coulson’s backstory in the form of Camilla Reyes, who he had a past relationship with.

A fire fight with local rebels forces both Coulson’s team and Reyes’ team back on the bus (their name for the plane) and in the air. Fitz-Simmons discovers that the 0-8-4 is a weapon that is fueled the same way the Tesseract is.

At the same time, Coulson and Ward discover that Reyes and her team aren’t as friendly as they seem. They knock out May, capture the rest of team and take over the bus.

Coulson is with his old flame, but the others are tied up in the cargo bay. As a team, they break free and save Coulson and the bus.

The episode ends with a great cameo from Samuel L. Jackson.
