Oh, LOST! (Season 4 Finale)

There is just so much I want to yell out at the beginning of this post. (LOCKE! WALT! JIN! CLAIRE! MICHAEL!) My emotions literally ran the gamut while watching last night’s episode. There was not one wasted scene and it never ever stopped.

At the end of the last season’s finale, they shocked us with the Lostie’s future and those darned flashFORWARDs. I remember feeling like I had been to a funeral. I was wrung out! And even though we’ve had an entire season between these two finales, I feel like what we actually got last night was the Part 2 of LAST season’s finale.

We’ll do this a little differently today…this is about the 3rd time I’ve written this post. I’m trying NOT to make it as long as War & Peace. And get all the good stuff in there at the same time. So, we’ll do the micro-machine man on the basics, then get to the meat and the ALL CAPS and !!!! in a minute, ok?

The Oceanic Stinkin’ Six (Lost Season 4 Episode 12: There’s No Place Like Home Pt1)

Sorry I’m getting this out a little late, Losties, it’s because I had a big big day yesterday! But don’t worry, my partying can’t stop my Lost-love. I got home at midnight (after a pre-screening of Prince Caspian) and immediately sat down to watch Lost. Alone. My dear husband, the false fan, couldn’t stay up that late. So, against my previous warnings, I watched Lost before bed. I dreamed of Prince Caspian and Sawyer running through the jungle. So, I’ll try to stay on task…

I’m So Very Lost (Lost: Season 4 Episode 12: Cabin Fever)

Oh, Losties. Did we get a good one last night, or what?! I have to start with an introductory paragraph about…well, me. During the entire show, every time something big would happen I’d say, “How in the world am I going to recap this?” I must have said it ten times. I have to admit it’s a little daunting. This was an episode chock-full of murky Lost goodness. I doubt I’ll be able to get ever detail and little tidbit the writer’s threw in but that’s never stopped me before. Let’s see what we can do…

Jack & Kate Plus…One. (Lost: Season 4 Episode 10)

My husband is wondering if the writers’ strike has thrown off the writers’ game. You know, they’ve been out of practice so long they’re not doing their best work? Or they’re having to squeeze too much into one episode? Well, tonight’s Lost had me wondering. Don’t get me wrong, I loved this episode. But a few times I alternately rolled or averted my eyes from the screen.

So, let’s get to it. I want to see what you thought…

Ben is Just Freaky (Lost: Season 4 Episode 9)

It’s been five weeks since Lost. Five longs weeks I’ve been waiting for some answers. And with last night’s Lost episode, I think we got some. Or did we? I completeley enjoyed last night’s episode, but the more I think about it, the more I have no idea what happened. Let’s try to dissect it, shall we? I’m really needing to talk about this one.

Ready? Let’s go…Read More »Ben is Just Freaky (Lost: Season 4 Episode 9)

Meet Kevin Johnson (Lost: Season 4 Episode 8)

My alternate title for this episode would be, "Vote Sayid 2008". He is the only one on this entire island (or freighter) that asks any questions or demands any answers! What did I say I wanted to see in this week’s episode? That Sayid and Michael/Kevin would have an
open, real and fast-paced conversation. And this week’s episode delivered!

One more thing before we get into the actual storyline…last week’s flashFORWARD/flashBACK had a lot of people calling the Lost writers sneaky and mean. I thought it was brilliant. (It’s not like they didn’t give us any clues!) This week is just another example of why the Lost writers are brilliant—the entire episode was basically a giant flashBACK. We hardly had any interaction with the Island or the freighter. And lord have mercy, did we get some answers!

Lost: Ji Yeon

I usually write my Lost recaps Friday morning. I can focus better that way—with a few hours of sleep under my belt. But tomorrow are big goings on in our house, so I’m up at the wee hours of the night typing my Lost love.

And I’m very excited. So, let’s just jump right in and let me squeal a little about what we discovered this week…so if you didn’t watch…well, just close your eyes…

WE KNOW THE SPY ON THE BOAT!

WE KNOW THE FINAL OCEANIC SIX!

WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO SUN’S BABY!

SOMEONE DIES.

Now, are you ready to see how all that went down? Then click through below the cut.

Lost: The Other Woman

I should have known after two very full episodes (Kate’s Eggtown and Desmond’s The Constant) we wouldn’t be getting very much from this episode. It’s hard for me to get excited about Juliet but I think they are really trying to show she’s likable and make us feel bad for her. I always felt Juliet was the “other woman” anyway, among my tight ensemble cast of Losties, but this episode shows us anther part of her Other-ness.

Let’s start with Juliet since we’re already there, shall we?
The scene opens with Juliet discussing her arrival (to where?) with a therapist. I think they were trying to trick us to thinking that she was one of the Six. But I knew better, this was an honest to goodness flashback to when Juliet first arrived on the Island.
