Barbara Bouza, the President of Walt Disney Imagineering, announced on her social media this weekend that she will be moving on from her role this month.

The Details

Barbara Bouza joined The Walt Disney Company as President, Business Operations, Design & Delivery, for Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI).

In November 2021, she was named President of WDI, replacing Bob Weis, who retired from the company, and she led the global creative, design and development teams for projects across Disney’s theme parks, cruise ships, and more.

Her departure won’t leave WDI hanging, though.

In 2023, Bruce Vaughn returned to Walt Disney Imagineering as Chief Creative Officer, and in her farewell message, she says, “WDI will be in excellent hands with my partner, Bruce Vaughn, Chief Creative Officer, who is an exceptional creative leader.”

Bouza hasn’t said what she will be doing next, but she does say, “It is bittersweet as I wrap up my work as President of Walt Disney Imagineering this month before I create an even bigger impact for world.”
