It’s a busy week for news from the Disney Cruise Line, with stories about the Disney Treasure, Rolly Crump, Jordin Sparks, and Castaway Cay.
Rolly Crump
Disney Legend and Imagineer Rolly Crump will be honored aboard the Disney Treasure with a bust inside the ship’s Haunted Mansion Parlor.
Crump, who passed away a year ago in March 2023, was hired by Walt Disney himself in 1952, and joined WED Enterprises, now known as Walt Disney Imagineering, in 1959.
The placement of the bust is truly an honor, as Crump developed the Museum of the Weird, an early version of what would eventually evolve into The Haunted Mansion.
Jordin Sparks
Award-winning singer-songwriter Jordin Sparks is lending her powerful vocals to a new anthem dedicated to Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure.
“Live the Adventure,” written by Dewain Whitmore, Jr. and Chantry Johnson and produced by Brandon N. Caddell, features lyrical and instrumental nods to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Aladdin,” taking cues from the Grand Hall, the Disney Treasure’s central hub and most prominent gathering space.
“For me, this is a really cool moment,” Sparks said. “I’ve been wanting to do something like this for so long. I’m very excited that [“Live the Adventure”] is going to be part of the Disney repertoire, and that it’s going to be an original with my vocals on it.”
This is the first time Disney Cruise Line has released a signature song for one of its ships.

Castaway Cay
The Disney Cruise Line has debuted new character looks for Disney’s Castaway Cay, and they’re wonderfully colorful.
Starting this weekend (March 2-3), Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their favorite pals will debut all-new beach wear that celebrates the fun, colorful and natural environment of this tropical oasis.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are ready to enjoy a day with their friends while wearing new swimwear that celebrates the iconic colors of Disney Cruise Line.
Meanwhile Daisy is hoping to enjoy a relaxing day sunbathing on the beach, but Donald Duck is ready to snorkel and find all of his underwater friends.
Goofy is ready to play anything from beach volleyball, racket ball, fishing or just riding around the island with his colorful T-shirt, shorts, vest and sun hat.
And Chip and Dale used materials they found around Castaway Cay to make their very own homemade pirate costumes, fashioning floaties into sashes and beach towels into pirate hats.
