According to Disney, it looks like “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” is on its way to an earlier than planned opening at Walt Disney World, and to celebrate, they are offering a first look at the new Audio-Animatronics of Tiana.
The Details
Originally planned for a late 2024 opening, it looks like the attraction will now have a Summer 2024 opening at Walt Disney World, with Disneyland still scheduled for a late 2024 opening.
This makes sense since Walt Disney World was the first to close its “Splash Mountain” for the transformation in January 2023, with Disneyland not closing theirs until May 2023.
When we hear of a specific opening date, we will definitely let you know so you can plan your visit. In the meantime Louis and his band will be celebrating:
Animatronics
Earlier this year, we learned that the Audio-Animatronics in “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” will be the same new high-tech versions used in Hong Kong Disneyland’s recently opened “World of Frozen” area.
We also learned that several Tiana Animatronics will “address guests directly,” and in this video, we get to see one of the Tianas with more fluid movements. We will have to wait to hear her, but it’s cool to see her in action:
