Pixar fans now have a new hotel to make their home base for visits to Disneyland Resort with the official opening of Pixar Place Hotel.
The Details
Pixar Place Hotel is the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States, and the 479-room hotel is filled with nods to every Pixar feature film to date, including “Toy Story,” “Finding Nemo/Dory,” “Soul!,” and “Elemental.”
“We are looking to turbocharge expansion at Disneyland Resort over the coming years, and the transformation of Pixar Place Hotel is a demonstration of how we’re creating high-quality guest experiences infused with our most popular stories,” said Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock.
Lightning McQueen, Mater, Joy, Carl, Russel, Woody, Buzz, and even more Pixar pals made a special visit to celebrate the hotel’s opening day dedication alongside Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock and Pixar Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter.
“At Pixar, our mission is to tell great stories. And nothing is more exciting than when we see those stories come to life in Disney parks,” said Doctor.
“Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is the perfect example – it’s like walking into a world of Pixar. It’s truly immersive, and we’re thrilled to have collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to make such an experience possible for guests.”
The Characters You’ll Meet
The hotel isn’t just dedicated to Pixar characters, it will feature them as well.
Bing Bong from “Inside Out,” makes his worldwide debut at the hotel – this is the first time he’s been seen on any Disney property!
Guests will find this imaginary friend at the hotel helping them an their families make new core memories at select times.
And all the way from The Half Note Jazz Club, it’s Joe Gardner from “Soul!” actually playing piano just off the lobby, helping to create a mood for guests from the minute they arrive. He can be found at select times during the day.
Home Suite Home
Among the 479 redesigned rooms are new two-bedroom themed signature suites, plus a concierge lounge.
The Coco Suite pays tribute to Miguel and his family’s legacy through vibrant Oaxacan art, while the midcentury modern Incredibles Suite will feature Parr family memorabilia with a spy-fi twist.
And The Creators Club concierge lounge on the second floor will honor the partnership between Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios with attraction posters, concept art and music from Pixar experiences in Disney parks around the world.
A Place to Play
The hotel’s upgraded rooftop recreation areas create an oasis for play and relaxation. The rooftop deck is a cozy gathering space with plush couches and fire pits themed to hotheaded Pixar characters, and a great location to view fireworks on select nights.
The nearby Pixar Shorts Court offers outdoor games themed to Pixar short films. Guests can also lounge by the Pixel Pool; frolic in the “Finding Nemo”-themed splash pad, Nemo’s Cove; or take a ride on the 186-feet-long Crush’s Surfin’ Slide, a waterslide to thrill kids of all ages.
A Pixar-Immersive Stay This Summer
While Pixar Place is a perfect place to stay year-round, this spring and summer brings the limited-time Pixar Fest back to Disney California Adventure from April 26th through August 4, 2024.
Party in the park with Pixar during the day, then come back to Pixar Place Hotel after the park closes for a Pixar-ful day.
