After three seasons of uncovering the “Secrets of Sulphur Springs,” Disney Channel has decided to cancel the series.

The Details

“Secrets of Sulphur Springs” debuted on the Disney Channel on January 15, 2021, and was a time-travel mystery thriller that centered on 12-year-old Griffin Campbell (Preston Oliver), and his family, who move into the dilapidated Tremont Hotel in Sulphur Springs, Louisiana,

In the first season, the hotel is supposedly haunted by Savannah Dillon, a camper at the Tremont Camp who disappeared thirty years ago. With his new best friend Harper (Kyliegh Curran), Griffin discovers a portal which takes the two back in time 30 years to 1990, where they find out what happened to Savannah Dillon (Ellie Graham), and try to save her from disappearing.

Season two focuses on Harper as she tries to uncover the secrets behind her connections to the Tremont hotel when she discovers a photo of her great-grandmother Daisy. That leads her to believe that the answers lie in the 1930s. Meanwhile, paranormal activities increase as the Campbells prepare to reopen the hotel, and Savannah tries to help Griffin and Harper uncover the secrets of the hotel from the past.

And in what is now the final season, an evil new ghost is haunting the Tremont hotel, and Griffin and Harper must defeat it to prevent them from facing a bleak future that could tear both of their families apart.

The series also starred Madeleine McGraw as Zoey Campbell, Landon Gordon as Wyatt Campbell, Kelly Frye as Sarah Campbell, Josh Braaten as Bennett “Ben” Campbell Jr., and Diandra Lyle as Jessica Dunn.

All three seasons of the series are still available to watch on Disney+.

Other Cancellations

The cancellation of “Secrets of Sulphur Springs” comes less than a month after the Disney Channel announced it would be cancelling “Jessie” spinoff “Bunk’d” after the conclusion of its current seventh season.

And last November, the Disney Channel cancelled the series “Saturdays” after only one season.

  1. Not cool this was the best series made in a long time. Reminded me of awesome literature from my childhood such as “The Root Cellar” and “Tom’s Midnight Garden.” Good entertainment that gets kids hooked and thinking and eager to watch the next episode. Nothing like those short attention span slapstick humor shows they’ve been feeding our kids for years. This series became a family tv night favorite. Now we have to find something new to watch.
