Word comes that the “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World will be closing for another refurbishment at the beginning of January 2024.

The Details

Disney says that this is a routine refurbishment closure, so no changes are expected at this time, but word is this will be a lengthy refurbishment that will last through the Summer of 2024.

Disney has neither confirmed or denied this, but also hasn’t offered a reopen date.

The attraction had a similar lengthy refurbishment closure in 2023, when it was closed from February through May. At that time, it reopened with improved lighting and refreshed set-pieces, but no changes to the ride experience itself.

At this point, all we know is that the last day to enjoy the coaster for a while will be January 7, 2024. The attraction will then close January 8, 2024 for the refurbishment.

We’ll let you know when we hear of a reopening for the attraction.
