The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards are so huge that they divvy up announcing the Film and TV categories, and Disney-backed series received 20 nominations in the Film categories announced today.
Searchlight Pictures’ sci-fi comedy “Poor Things” continues to be an awards magnet, garnering 13 nominations, including Best Picture, and is tied for the second most for movies this year with Universal’s “Oppenheimer.”
Searchlight Pictures also scored two nominations for the sci-fi film, “The Creator,” and Walt Disney Studios’ animated fairytale “Wish.”
Films also receiving one nomination apiece are Searchlight Pictures’ “All of Us Strangers,” Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” and Pixar’s “Elemental.”
Chelsea Handler will host the event ceremony on Sunday, January 14, 2024. It will air live from 7-10pm in the East on The CW network, and tape delayed on the network in the West.
