Disneyland has announced it will reopen CenTOONial Park on Oct. 30, while on same date closing another park of Mickey’s Toontown for its own refurbishment.
Reopening
CenTOONial Park in Disneyland Park has been closed for refurbishment and will be reopening to guests on October 30, 2023.
Even though Mickey’s Toontown only opened this spring after a year-long reimagining, CenTOONial Park inside of this area was closed for further refurbishment in September 2023.
The CenTOONial Park work included adjusting the soft surface around the Dreaming Tree, repairing a leak under the Mickey and Minnie fountain, and replacing a section of artificial turf with brick pavers due to the walking patterns of guests, according to Disneyland officials.
However, the fountain area will reportedly not reopen until November 10, 2023.
More Refurbishment
On October 30, Disneyland will also close Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard in Mickey’s Toontown, for refurbishment and updates in that area, with a goal of completing the work by the time the fountain reopens.
Play elements will also be added and repaired in Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard, according to Disneyland, which has already removed Teeter totters and a colorful bird house from that area.
