The Disney Wonder cruise ship headed down to Australia and arrived on October 27th to begin its inaugural season of Disney Magic at Sea cruises for families in Australia and New Zealand, which began October 28th, local time.

The Details

To reach Sydney, the Disney Wonder performed what is called a repositioning cruise, where ships relocate by sailing with passengers on a special itinerary.

Sailing all the way to Australia, the 13-night cruise featured visits to different destinations in the South Pacific, including Fiji, New Caledonia, and American Samoa, before arriving in Sydney.

Now in Australia, these first-time special sailings aboard the Disney Wonder will range from two to six nights, with departures through February 2024.

Disney Cruise Line home ports for this sailing season aboard the Disney Wonder will be Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, in Australia, as well as Auckland, New Zealand.

A sister to the original 1998-built Disney Magic, the Disney Wonder originally entered service in 1999 as Disney Cruise Line’s second cruise ship.
