In addition to the nationwide Disney 100 film festival that is running in theaters through October 26, Disney’s The El Capitan Theatre will be hosting the “Decades of Disney” festival September 24-30, 2023.
The Details
The “Decades of Disney” will showcase seven Disney animated films across seven decades in seven days.
It kicks off on September 24th with 1940’s “Pinocchio,” then jumps to 1951’s “Alice in Wonderland” on September 25th.
The next film in the series is 1963’s “The Sword in the Stone” on September 26th, followed by the 1973 classic “Robin Hood” on September 27th.
1981’s “The Fox and the Hound” plays on September 28th, while 1997’s hero with muscle “Hercules” plays on September 29th.
The “Decades of Disney” closes on September 30th with everyone’s mischievious space alien in 2002’s “Lilo and Stitch.”
Pre-Show Film
Plus, before each film guests will get to view the all-new short “Disney Once Upon a Studio” before each screening.
The live-action/2D/3D-hybrid short celebrates the 100-year anniversary of the studio. It premiered at this year’s Annecy Animation Film Festival in France.
