Disney Parks has announced on their social media that the parking lot trams will finally be returning to service the EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios parking lots beginning in September 2023.

The Details

It was announced in December 2021 that Walt Disney World would be bringing the parking lot trams back for guests, after closing the parks for the pandemic in 2020.

Magic Kingdom’s trams resumed operations shortly after, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom lot trams came back a few months later in May 2022. But for some reason, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests have not been receiving the same courtesy.

That will change in September when the final two parks will once again have parking lot trams operating, including the recently renamed sections of EPCOT’s lot.

Disney has not given a specific date, but we will let you know when we they announce anything.

Parking at WDW Parks

The standard parking fee for Disney parks is currently $25 for cars and motorcycles or $30 for oversized vehicles such as RVs and buses. Preferred parking is available for $45 to $50 per day.

Standard theme park parking is included for registered guests at Disney World hotels and for some annual passholders.

The My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World has a Car Locator feature to activate once a guest has parked that uses technology to locate your car’s location for when you leave the park. The feature functions best when you enable Location Services, Bluetooth, and Notifications on your mobile device.
