It’s been a while since Disney+ has issued any updates on its upcoming “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, but this weekend, three new character posters were released.
The Posters
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is a fantasy series based on the novels by author Rick Riordan, and the character posters depict Percy and his two friends.
Walter Scobell plays Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries plays Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri plays Grover Underwood, and each poster sees the character surrounded by graphics that hint at who they are.

The Series
Based on the Rick Riordan book series of the same name, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” follows the titular 12-year old demi-god (Walker Scobell) who is just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers as the son of Poseidon (Toby Stephens) when the sky god Zeus (Lance Reddick) accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.
With help from his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.
Others cast in recurring or guest roles, include Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Timm Sharp, Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, and Charlie Bushnell, along with recent additions like Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Duplass, and Timothy Omundson.
The series is set to air on Disney+ sometime in 2024, and Riordan has been more hands on with this series unlike the previous film versions of his books.
Reddick also reportedly finished filming all of his scenes as Zeus for the first season before passing in March 2023.
FInally, Riordan will have a new book in the “Percy Jackson” series debut later this year, called “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Chalice of the Gods,” and it is said to be a stand-alone story.
