Apparently McDonald’s didn’t get the date change memo, because even though Marvel Studios’ “The Marvels” isn’t scheduled for release on November 10, 2023, the Happy Meal toys for the film are now available.
Each Happy Meal box includes one of eight toys based on characters from the movie, and will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.
The box itself appears to have images from the movie on it, as well.
The Toys
The characters available to collect are:
- Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers
- Photon/Monica Rambeau
- Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan
- Nick Fury
- Goose
- Prince Yan
- Kree Supreme Dar-Benn
- Princess Carol
None of the toys have movement, but the individual characters connect together at their base.
The Commercial
A new McDonald’s commercial for “The Marvels” Happy Meal Toys features a superhero day camp for kids with them also playing with the toys.
Free Downloadables
The McDonald’s Happy Meal website at HappyMeal.com also has some free downloadable activity sheets for “The Marvels,” including coloring sheets, along with a free game to play on a phone or tablet.
The Movie
“The Marvels” was originally set to open on July 28th before it was pushed back to November 10th, 2023.
Directed by Nia DaCosta and written Megan McDonnell, the film is set after the adventures in “Ms. Marvel” and “Secret Invasion,” and finds Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence.
But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe, and when her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who appeared to gain powers of her own at the end of the “WandaVision” series.
Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work with each other to save the universe. The only problem? The heroes are somehow linked together, and any time one of them uses their powers, they switch locations with one another.
The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Park Seo-joon, Saagar Shaikh, Zenoiba Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Zawe Ashton.
My son is begging to know if the camp in the commercial is real. Does anyone know?!
Hi Stephanie! As far as I know that super hero camp was just for the commercial. Sorry!

Third trip recieved a completely different series toy.,
Hi Brenda! According to McDonald’s they are still in The Marvels toy cycle, but it’s completely random which toys go to which stores and the promotion is while supplies last.
