U.S. Air Force Performs Flyover at Magic Kingdom for 4th of July
,

Fourth of July celebrations kicked off at Magic Kingdom this morning, as the U.S. Air Force jets roared over Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World.

Details

The U.S. Air Force showcased their synchronized maneuvers with two incredible flyovers over Magic Kingdom as part of their national outreach program.

Guests in and around the park witnessed the squadron of elite F-35 stealth fighter jets as they raced across the sky over the Castle, accompanied by thunderous jet noise above and patriotic music on the ground below.

An Air Force KC-135 “Stratotanker” also took part in the flyover to celebrate both Disney’s 100th Celebration, and 100 years of aerial refueling capabilities in the U.S. Air Force. The KC-135 is a large tanker aircraft that can carry up to seven tons of fuel and acts as an aerial gas station for the Air Force.

Pilot Minnie Mouse and Pilot Goofy participated in the patriotic festivities on the ground, and the pilots got to hang out with Mickey in his July 4th finest.

  1. Glad to see that Disney is showing some patriotism. We were there for the July 4th celebrations a couple years ago and, although the fireworks were amazing, there was not one patriotic song played during the fireworks, nor one mention of even why we were celebrating with fireworks. It was very disappointing!!
