As part of its #Disney100 collection, celebrating Disney’s 100th Anniversary, Citizen has unveiled new timepieces for Cinderella, Ariel, and Ursula.
Cinderella
The watch’s captivating dial was designed by Disney artist Jeff Shelly, and pays homage to the moment Disney Princess Cinderella rushes from the castle before the clock strikes midnight
Designed for fans of the classic fairytale, this timepiece invokes nostalgia for the 1950s box office hit with beautiful details such as the 12 o’clock marker representing the castle’s clock at midnight, crystal markers at 3, 6, and 9, and the crystal adorned case.
Inscribed on the back is “A dream is a wish your heart makes,” and the watch comes with a pin of a glass slipper on a pillow.
Additionally, the watch never needs a battery, since it’s powered by light with Eco-Drive technology.
Ariel and Ursula
Citizen is also be introducing all-new Ariel and Ursula Box Sets, celebrating the classic 1989 release of “The Little Mermaid.”
The Ursula watch dial features her silhouette and a conch shell with crystal “sound bubbles” floating upwards.
Inscribed on the back is “You got it sweetcakes. No more talking, singing, zip.” and the watch comes with a pin of Ursulas’s tentacles.
The Ariel watch was inspired by underwater shades of green with a dial that shows an illustration of the mermaid diving.
Inscribed on the back is “Making waves my way.” and the watch comes with a pin of two shells.
Each box set will be available for $450, and the watches are also designed by Shelley.
Marceline Celebration
In addition to releasing these new timepieces, Citizen recently sponsored a celebration of Walt Disney in his hometown of Marceline, Missouri.
A festive street festival took guests back in time to experience Walt’s childhood through food, music, and storytelling.
Guests were also treated to drawing lessons from Disney artist Jeff Shelly. The spectacular event concluded with a once-in-a-lifetime proclamation and clock donation by Citizen.
Citizen produced a replica of the Main Street USA clock at the Walt Disney World, and dedicated it in the Walt Disney Hometown Museum garden.
