July 4th is a time for patriotic celebrations across the United States, and the Walt Disney World Resort will be joining in the celebrations with fun, fireworks, and a military flyover over the Magic Kingdom.
Schedule of Events:
U.S. Air Force Flyover of the Magic Kingdom – The flyover will include a KC-135 ‘Stratotanker’ joined by several F-35 Lightning II stealth aircraft. It will take place on July 4th at approximately 10:30am.
“Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” – A nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom with booming fireworks lighting up the sky and orchestrated to patriotic melodies. Shows will take place July 3rd and July 4th at 9:20pm.
“EPCOT Forever” – the limited-time spectacle of fireworks, lasers, lighting and special effects at EPCOT, will include a patriotic Fourth of July grand finale, “Heartbeat of Freedom.” The show will take place at 9pm on July 4.
Other Patriotic Fun
At EPCOT, the American Pavilion is the place to be. A cappella vocal group Voices of Liberty will perform numbers from the American songbook beneath the rotunda in The American Adventure.
And throughout the day, Mickey and his friends will appear in “Spirit of ’76” attire to meet with guests nearby.
Many of the Disney resorts will also be hosting patriotic games, free movies, and other events, some with characters, so check each resort’s daily schedule.
Photo Ops
Disney PhotoPass will be offering special holiday Magic Shots at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios through July 5 (and over at Disneyland, too):
Food and Drink
There will also be patriotic food offerings, like this Fourth of July Liege Waffle available at Connections Café in EPCOT, on July 4th only. We’ll have all the treats in a separate post because they’ll be popping up all over Walt Disney World (plus we’ll include some Disneyland patriotic treats, too).
