“Rogers: The Musical” debuts at Disney California Adventure at the end of this month, and Disneyland has revealed more details you’ll want to know before going to see the show.
The Virtual Queue
During its limited-time engagement, “Rogers: The Musical” will have a virtual queue for admission to the show.
Each day there are performances, distribution for the complimentary virtual queue will begin at 10:30am PT for the first two show times of the day, and 2pm PT for the remaining show times of the day. Sign up for the virtual queue will take place on the Disneyland app.
Disney says joining the virtual queue is not required to view “Rogers: The Musical,” but it is highly recommended. If the virtual queue reaches capacity, guests can check in at the Hyperion Theater before “Rogers: The Musical” begins for any walk-up viewing options.
Premium Viewing Experience
There will also be a “Rogers: The Musical” Premium Viewing Experience package available for purchase for $29 per person.
Available in limited quantities per performance, the package includes a “Rogers: The Musical” popcorn bucket with kettle corn and choice of bottled beverage, plus access to lounge seating before the show, priority choice of seating in the theater, a souvenir lanyard, and access to a unique photo opportunity.
The package is available for purchase via Studio Catering Co. Truck in Hollywood Land.
Heroically-Themed Food and Beverage
Select locations across Disney California Adventure park will serve themed food and beverage options for purchase during the run of the show.
These items include:
Red, White & Blue Shake at Schmoozies!: Vanilla shake with wild cherry and blue raspberry slushes and whipped topping (Non-alcoholic)
Patriotic Punch at Hollywood Lounge: Sprite and white cranberry juice with blue raspberry and cherry syrups topped with whipped cream (Non-alcoholic)
Pastrami Pretzel Dog at Award Wieners: All-beef hot dog topped with pastrami, whole-grain mustard, provolone, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing
Shawarm-izza at Shawarma Palace: Italian sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella, and pepperoncini in a garlic-parmesan wrap with marinara dipping sauce
Like an Apple Pizza Pie at Terran Treats: Cinnamon-sugar fried pizza crust topped with apple and cranberry filling, streusel, and cream cheese frosting
Cap’n Everything Dog at Outdoor Vending Carts: Hot link wrapped in pizza dough topped with everything bagel seasoning and served with a side of mustard cheese sauce and potato chips
Vending carts outside the Hyperion Theater will also offer a “Rogers: The Musical” popcorn bucket that comes with red, white and blue kettle corn at the time of purchase.
The Show
“Rogers: The Musical” will be performed at the Hyperion Theater in Disney California Adventure park from June 30 through Aug. 31, 2023,
Showtimes will be at 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:30pm Tuesday through Saturday most weeks. Check the daily schedule for any changes.
First announced in February 2023, this production is based upon a musical about the “Battle of New York” in the original “Avengers” movie that appeared in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.”
It will feature a talented cast of singers and dancers telling the story of Steve Rogers – aka Captain America – joined by Peggy Carter, Nick Fury, and select members of the Avengers.
The musical will take the audience on a journey from Steve’s humble beginnings during World War II to becoming Captain America, leading the Avengers and beyond.
In addition to “Save the City,” the musical will include “Star Spangled Man” from the film “Captain America: The First Avenger”; plus, five new original songs written just for this show at Disneyland.
