The world was first introduced to Indiana Jones with “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and that film will be returning to theaters courtesy of Fathom Events for two nights in June.

The Details

Enjoy the thrill of seeing “Raiders of the Lost Ark” on the big screen on Sunday, June 4th, and Wednesday, June 7th.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, and based on an idea from George Lucas, the film tells the story of professor and archeologist Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), who is tasked by Army Intelligence to track down an invaluable staff that is the key to locating the Ark of the Covenant.

He does so with the help of best friend Sallah (John Rhys-Davies), and an ex named Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), but it turns out the Nazis are also looking for The Ark.

More Indy

The entire catalog of Indiana Jones films and series will debut on Disney+ on May 31, 2023, in an agreement with Paramount which originally distributed the films.

And of course all of this is leading up to the release of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” which hits theaters at the end of June.

In this fifth, and most likely final, installment in the film series, Indy (Ford) is about to retire when he is thrust into a final adventure by his god-daughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) to find the Dial of Destiny.

The film also stars John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Oliver Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”), and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”).

Directed by James Mangold (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Logan”), the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers.

John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, is once again composing the score for this film.

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” hits theaters on June 28 in the UK and France, and June 30 in the U.S. and other countries.
