“Fantasmic!” performances at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World will have some interruptions in the near future, and we have the details.
Disneyland
In the wake of the fire incident on April 22, 2023, “Fantasmic!” at Disneyland will be paused for an undetermined amount of time. The damage was extensive, with flames fully engulfing the Maleficent dragon.
A note on the official page for the nighttime show reads:
“Performances of Fantasmic! are currently paused. We know our Guests love and miss Fantasmic!, and Disneyland Resort teams are working hard to assess when we can bring back an adjusted show as quickly and safely as possible.”
The calendar currently shows no shows scheduled through June 9, 2023. It’s possible that could change, depending on how much needs to be fixed and updated, but it could also be extended.

Walt Disney World
Over on the east coast, “Fantasmic!” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have a short two-day closure coming up, which the park says is scheduled downtime to take care of routine maintenance.
The short announcement on the official page reads:
“On May 1 and May 2, 2023, Fantasmic! will be closed for routine maintenance.”
Shows are scheduled to resume at the park on May 3 at 9pm and 10:30pm.
“Fantasmic!” only recently returned to Walt Disney World, reopening on November 3, 2022.
