‘The Mandalorian’ Episode One To Air on ABC, Freeform, and FX Feb 24, 2023

The Mandalorian

“The Mandalorian” season three debuts on Disney+ on March 1, so Disney is using its synergy to entice new viewers by airing the first episode of the series on ABC, Freeform, and FX on February 24, 2023.

When to Watch

“Chapter 1: The Mandalorian,” the very first episode of the series, will air simultaneously on ABC, Freeform, and FX at 8pm ET/5pm PT on Friday, February 24.

This episode sets up the story, which is takes place in the lawless aftermath of the collapse of the Galactic Empire following the events of “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.”

As the series opens, an armored bounty hunter known only as the Mandalorian takes on a well-paying yet cryptic assignment…which turns out to be a young child.

If people want to see the rest of the story to date, seasons 1 and 2, along with “The Book of Boba Fett” (which contains part of “The Mandalorian” story) are available to binge on Disney+.

Disney used a similar strategy during the holidays to spread the word about the Star Wars series “Andor.”

Season 3

Season three of “The Mandalorian” kicks off on March 1 with episodes airing weekly on Disney+.

When we last saw Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) at the end of “The Book of Boba Fett,” the Armorer (Emily Swallow) told him that he “is a Mandalorian no more,” because he had removed his helmet and shown his face to others.

He has Grogu in tow, but is now facing other challenges, including Bo-Katan Kryze (Katie Sackhoff), as he attempts to reclaim his status as a Mandalorian.

Also returning this season are Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) and Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon). Christopher Lloyd is confirmed to guest star this season, as well.

  1. I cannot understand such cruelty. We avidly watched that first episode, and I immediately set my Dish to watch weekly. I looked at tomorrow’s schedule to check, and I see something called Sharktank. WHAT???? I am so angry over this. We were so excited to be able to finally see this amazing series! We have NO streaming capability. There is NO way to watch the second episode. This is infuriating beyond mention.
