In a tradition that spans several decades, following leading his team to a win at Super Bowl LVII, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is heading to Disneyland today.
The Details
With the win, Chiefs fans will now get to see one of their favorite players in a colorful and high-energy cavalcade through Disneyland park today, Monday, February 13, 2023.
The cavalcade is scheduled to start at 1:30pm PT, and the route will go from “it’s a small world” all the way down to Main Street, U.S.A.
As a reminder, both a valid admission and theme park reservation for Disneyland park today are required to see the celebration.
Going to Disney
The iconic phrase “I’m going to Disneyland/Walt Disney World!” is the centerpiece of Disney’s famous Super Bowl commercials. The campaign started after Super Bowl XXI in 1987, when New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms was named the MVP and shouted the famous phrase.
Mahomes joins a stellar list of NFL Hall of Famers and football megastars who have participated in Disney’s long-standing Super Bowl tradition.
Last time his team won in 2020, Mahomes went to Walt Disney World.
