‘TRON Lightcycle / Run’ Details: Virtual Queue, PhotoPass, Lockers, Lightning Lane

TRON Lightcycle / Run lockers

We’re a little over 2 months from the opening of “TRON Lightcycle / Run” at Magic Kingdom on April 4, and we have details on things you’ll need to know before you ride.

The Virtual Queue

Access to “TRON Lightcycle / Run” will be via virtual queue, which can be found on the My Disney Experience app.

Walt Disney World hasn’t listed times yet, but usually virtual queues open in the morning, then again in early afternoon for Guests to register for a spot.

“Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” at EPCOT also currently uses the virtual queue system.

Disney also says a standby queue will not be available for this attraction.

The Lightning Lane

In addition to the virtual queue, Guests may have the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane spot in the My Disney Experience app.

Guests should check the app on the day of their arrival at the park for availability and pricing.

The Lockers

“TRON Lightcycle / Run” will have new digitied lockers available inside the attraction queue before you ride, to store all bags and loose items.

These complimentary lockers pair directly with your MagicBand, MagicBand+, or ticket media so you can easily lock and reopen your locker with a quick tap.

Don’t have those on hand? Not to worry…a card will be provided to use of the locker.

All items must be placed either in a locker before you board your Lightcycle, or in a small compartment located on the attraction vehicle that can hold items such as cellphones, glasses or wallets, for the safety of yourself and the other Guests.

Check out the video below:

The PhotoPass

Preserve the memory of riding “TRON Lightcycle / Run” with the attraction’s PhotoPass service.

There are two methods to capture the photo and video:

  • Using your eligible mobile device: Enable Bluetooth® for the My Disney Experience app before riding, ensure you’ve logged into the My Disney Experience app sometime earlier that day, and keep your device out of low power mode. Finally, safely store your phone in the small compartment on the ride vehicle seen in the above video to use this method.
  • Wear a MagicBand or MagicBand+ that’s linked to your My Disney Experience account.
