Guests driving to Magic Kingdom this week will have to bring their patience as Walt Disney World will be doing road construction near the Magic Kingdom auto plaza entrance.
The Details
According to Disney, from January 23-27, 2023, northbound World Drive will be reduced to one lane near the Magic Kingdom auto plaza from 10:30am-4:30pm daily.
The area the road work will be done is highlighted in yellow in the image below.
Temporary signs and traffic cones will be in place to direct drivers while several lanes are closed. Disney asks all guests to please drive safely, and follow appropriate roadway signage.
Provided there are no weather delays, that area of the road should return to normal on January 28, 2023.
Until then, please add in extra time to your schedule to allow for any driving delays.
Other Closures
As we announced last August, the Disney Skyliner is down for rehab starting today (Jan 22) through January 29, 2023.
All lines are closed for routine maintenance, but Guests will still be able to use the busses, and in some cases, water taxis, to get to and from the resorts and EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
