Disney Parks has just announced that runDisney marathons will be returning to west coast in 2024, starting with the fan-favorite “Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend.”
The Details
The “Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend” will take place January 11-14, 2024, in Anaheim, Ca. The weekend will include three endurance events, a challenge, and more.
Club runDisney registration (Platinum and Gold members) opens February 7, 2023; General registration opens February 14, 2023; and virtual event registration opens February 17, 2023.
And with the return of marathons to Disneyland, runDisney will be bringing back the “Coast to Coast Challenge” in 2024, as well. The challenge consists of running a half-marathon or marathon at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World in the same calendar year.
We expect demand for this event to be strong, so it might be worth checking your Club runDisney level before registration opens.

What is runDisney?
runDisney hosts endurance events, such as races ranging from 5K to marathons, at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. These races allow participants the unique experience of running through the theme parks and may take place at night. Many participants in these events dress in costume or raise money for charities. runDisney events also typically include expos, live entertainment, and other activities for participants and their families.
