Disney+ To Air ‘Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium’ Nov 20

Elton John is on his final tour, and his last Dodger Stadium concert will be streamed live on Disney+ this Sunday, November 20, 2022.


The Concert

“Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium” is a once-in-a-lifetime live, global original concert event that offers fans from around the world a front-row seat to witness the groundbreaking magic of the Rocket Man back at Dodger Stadium.

The live stream will commemorate a long-awaited evening in music history as it unfolds in real-time at Dodger Stadium, giving fans 50,000+ fans in person, and countless admirers worldwide, the rare chance to experience his biggest hits from the past 50 years.

GRAMMY®-winning artists Dua Lipa, Kiki Dee, and Brandi Carlile will join Elton on stage during this final North American performance at Dodger Stadium, paying tribute to him and his legendary career.

“To feel the energy from the best fans, not only in Dodger Stadium again, but this time around the world from those watching live at home, will be truly extra special for me,” said Elton John. “I’m thrilled to celebrate this momentous evening globally. I hope everyone feels the power and joy of performing on a stage as iconic as Dodger’s. Just like I did almost 50 years ago.”

The concert will also be included in the upcoming Disney Original Documentary, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Elton John Performances and The Years that Made His Legend,” that will air on Disney+ in 2023.

“There are no superlatives left to describe Elton John and his impact on music and culture — he’s simply unrivaled,” Bob Chapek, CEO of The Walt Disney Company said, noting John’s longtime relationship with the company, as he composed music for 1994’s “The Lion King.”


The Details

The evening will kick off with a live red carpet at 7:30pm PST/10:30pm EST on Disney+ that will include a segment called “Countdown to Elton Live,” featuring famous friends from around the globe wishing him well, interviews with Elton John and David Furnish, and more excitement from Dodger Stadium.

Then the concert will start at 8pm PST/11pm EST on Disney+, and viewers will be treated to more than 2 hours of Elton’s biggest hits. If you miss it, or like me, want to watch it over and over again, it will be available for streaming endlessly the next day on DIsney+.

If you want to continue the Elton John love, the hour-long special “iHeartRadio Presents Elton John’s Thank you to America: The Final Song,” will broadcast across over 320 stations nationwide on Sunday, November 20 at 10pm PT / 1am ET.

The special will feature legendary moments from Elton John’s career, and include a live simulcast of Elton John’s final song and closing remarks during his last performance in North America at Dodger Stadium.

A Sneak Peek

The historic three-hour livestream, from Disney Branded Television and produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and Rocket Entertainment, will showcase Elton John as audiences have never seen him before, paying tribute to the icon and the seminal moment in 1975 that cemented his global success.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Elton John three times in the last few years, for a total of seven times in my lifetime, and I am so incredibly excited to watch this live stream of his concert!
