“Avatar: The Experience,” a new attraction based on the world of Pandora, will be opening this month in Singapore, and I have all the details.
The Experience
Cityneon Holdings, Disney Location-Based Experiences, along with James Cameron and Jon Landau’s Lightstorm Entertainment, have collaborated closely to produce an immersive walkthrough event inspired by the beauty and unique storytelling of “Avatar,” the highest-grossing film of all-time globally.
Guests will journey through the alien world of Pandora witnessing its bioluminescent environments, engaging with its mystical creatures and flora, and sharing in the captivating culture of its indigenous people, the Na’vi.
Interactive elements will include the debut of a life-size animatronic banshee, fascinating visitors with its incredibly realistic and detailed appearance, authentic roars, and real-time reactions to its environment.
Guests will also be introduced to a baby banshee handled by expert puppeteer docents providing unique photo opportunities.
The path continues with exciting installations throughout the venue and a first look at an artistic sculpt representation of the new marine creature, the Ilu, from the upcoming film “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which is in theaters this December.
“Avatar: The Experience,” including all exhibits, will be presented in English.
The Location
“Avatar: The Experience” will be located at Cloud Forest, in Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, from October 28, 2022 to March 31, 2023.
The Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares in the Central Region of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir.
It has celebrated over a decade of innovation and welcomed over 85 million visitors with its impressive horticulture, and dedication to the idea that a unique location can inspire global connection.
Tickets
Tickets to “Avatar: The Experience” start at $27 SGD (Singapore dollars) for Singapore residents, and are $53 SGD for non-residents.
They are available, along with more information, at AvatarTheExperience.com.
There is also a welcome message to visitors by James Cameron at the link.
I haven’t heard if the attraction will only be at Singapore, or if it will travel next year, but when I hear more details, I will share them.
