‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ Teaser Trailer and Poster Released

Avatar: The Way of Water

Fans of Pandora are finally getting a glimpse of “Avatar: The Way of Water,” as the teaser trailer and a poster have been released to the public.

This is the same trailer that wowed media and theater owners at CinemaCon last month, and played in front of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” this weekend.

“Avatar: The Way of Water” is set more than a decade after the events of the first film, and our first look at the film includes gorgeous shots of Pandora’s bright blue water, both above and below the surface, along with the Na’vi, Jake, the Toruk (the flying creatures introduced in the first film), and new whale-like creatures.

Everything in this trailer looks phenomenal, and extremely detailed.

Once you’ve taken that trailer off repeat, check out this first poster for the new film:

“Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), including the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

According to producer Jon Landau, all four planned sequels will be about Jake and Nyteri’s family. Each will be a standalone film, but part of a greater connected epic saga.

Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Landau, the film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet.
