Disney Animation Releases New Trailer for ‘Strange World’

Strange World

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a first full trailer for it’s upcoming film, “Strange World,” along with a new poster.

About the Film

Strange World” centers on the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest and most crucial mission, one which will take them into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await.

Jake Gyllenhaal (“Spider-Man: Far From Home,” “Ambulance”) voices the young Searcher Clade in this animated adventure

Joining him are Dennis Quaid (Jaeger Clade), Gabrielle Union (Meridian Clade), Jaboukie Young-White (Ethan Clade), and Lucy Liu (Callisto Mal).

Director Don Hall, whose previous credits include the Oscar-nominated “Raya and the Last Dragon,” says the story is a nod to pulp magazines, that existed from around the 1900s to the 1950s.

Qui Nguyen, who co-wrote “Raya and the Last Dragon” with Hall, returns to co-write the screenplay for “Strange World.”

The Trailer

The President enlists farmer Searcher and his family to follow in the footsteps of his missing explorer dad Jaeger, when a crisis threatens our world.

In the process the family not only explores an amazing new realm, but discovers their fractured family gets a second chance to come together.

“Everything down here is trying to kill us,” says Meridian as they learn about this new realm.

Well, not everything, as Searcher’s son Ethan makes a new friend.
