MagicBand+ Coming to Disneyland Resort This Fall

MagicBand+

Disney Parks has announced the MagicBand+ will be arriving at Disneyland Resort for guests Fall 2022, and we have the details.

MagicBand+ launched earlier this summer at Walt Disney World, where guests have been able to use it for a variety of experiences, including making the Fab 50 Character Collection of gold statues create sounds with the wave of an arm.

What to Expect

Connect your MagicBand+ to your theme park ticket or Magic Key pass in the Disneyland app for an easy way to enter the Disneyland Resort theme parks (valid Park admission and reservation for the same day required).

Use it to check in at Lightning Lane entrances (separate valid Lightning Lane entry required).

After capturing precious memories with a Disney PhotoPass photographer, a tap of your band will even link the photos to your Disney account.

Fun Experiences

MagicBand+ will also add new, immersive elements and surprises to park experiences.

MagicBand+ will come to life during “World of Color” in Disney California Adventure park, and “Fantasmic!” and select nighttime shows in Disneyland park, pulsing with colorful, dancing lights and vibrations.

You’ll also be able to explore “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” with the “Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters” interactive quest.

Use your MagicBand+ to help guide you to find virtual bounties across Black Spire Outpost. Vibrations and lights from will guide the player to the bounty.

When the bounty is found, use the augmented reality thermal viewer in the Play Disney Parks app to reveal who’s hiding in the shadows. Local guild master Raga Bua will reward players with galactic credits for each successful mission.
