The cast of the upcoming Disney+ series, “National Treasure: Edge Of History,” took the stage at D23 Expo 2022 to reveal the first full trailer, along with a release date.
Series stars Lisette Olivera and Catherine Zeta-Jones, along with Zuri Reed, Lyndon Smith, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodriguez, and Jake Austin Walker bantered a bit about the show before surprising the audience with the trailer.
“When I heard they were going to revive the franchise, I knew I wanted to be a part of it,” Zeta-Jones said. “I am a bit of treasure hunter myself. I couldn’t wait to dive into the action and mystery with this new fresh take.”
About the Series
“National Treasure: Edge Of History” is an expansion of the “National Treasure” movie franchise told from the point of view of young heroine Jess (Olivera).
She’s a DREAMer in search of answers about her family, and in the process, embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and save a lost Pan-American treasure.
She’s joined by her friends, but faces some competition from treasure hunter Billie Pearce (Zeta-Jones). Justin Bartha (Riley Poole) and Harvey Keitel (Peter Sadusky) reprise their roles from the films.
Jerry Bruckheimer, Cormac & Marianne Wibberley, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed serve as executive producers on the series alongside Rick Muirragui, who also serves as a writer. Jon Turteltaub is also an executive producer. Mira Nair is directing and executive producing.

“National Treasure: Edge Of History” premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, with the first two episodes.
The films “National Treasure” and “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” are both available on Disney+ to watch.
