The newest line of Disney collectibles will make its debut at D23 Expo, and celebrates sweet treats. Meet the Disney Munchlings.
What are the Munchlings?
Fan favorite Disney characters get a sweet makeover with the Disney Munchlings.
Word has it Master Baker Pierre Dumonet of the Main Street Bakery was adding the final touches to his sweet creations.
As he hung his apron and left the bakery, Pierre accidentally closed the door a little too hard, and it caused several jars and bottles to topple over onto the baked goods on the table.
A small bottle of magic spilled out onto his delicious concoctions below, creating the Disney Munchlings.
And best of all…they retained their sweet scents!
That’s right, the Disney Munchlings will debut with three scented collections: Sweet Treats, Baked Treats and Frozen Treats.
Each of the three collections feature different types of delicious looking characters.
In the Sweet Treats collection, Mickey and Friends get a candy makeover and you’ll find the following:
- Cool Mint Mickey Mouse
- Peanut Butter Swirl Cup Pluto
- Dark Chocolate Ganache Truffle Chip and Dale
- Peppermint Meringue Hard Candy Minnie
- Chocolate Brownie Bar Goofy
In the Baked Goods collection, you’ll find cupcake versions of:
Finally, the Frozen Delights collection features Disney Villains as treats out of the freezer:
- Pain and Panic
- Oogie Boogie
The Cost of Being Sweet
Available in two different sizes, the 5-inch Disney Munchlings will be available in blind bags for $16.99, while the 15-inch plush will retail for $34.99.
Occasionally, special drops and chef co-labs will be available to purchase for $19.99, PLUS I’m told there are special mystery characters in the blind bags.
Where Can You Get Munchlings?
Then, starting on Monday, September 12, they’ll be available at Disneyland shops, making their way cross-country to Walt Disney World before the end of the month.
Plans are to have them at all of the Disney parks world-wide by the end of the year.
