Disney’s Minnie Van Transportation Returns This Month

Walt Disney World has announced its Minnie Van transportation service will be returning at the end of this month.

Starting June 29, Guests can order the Minnie Vans via the Lyft app.

Guests needing an accessible Minnie Van will now be able to reserve using the Lyft app, as well. Before, Guests had to call to reserve an accessible vehicle. This is a much needed improvement.

Disney said the service accommodates up to six guests and provides two complimentary car seats for use during the ride. More than 75 former Minnie Van drivers will return to the program.

Test rides will be happening starting this week, so it’s possible Guests may see the Minnie Vans in the Lyft app, but it’ll be random.

I have to admit…it’s so cute to see them zipping around property.

The Minnie Vans will only be available for transportation on property for now. Airport service will not be offered to start, but if that changes, we’ll let you know.

The service, which is operated through a partnership with ride-sharing service Lyft, first debuted in 2017. It was put on hold when Walt Disney World closed for the pandemic in 2020.

The Minnie Vans will re-join the already available fleet of transportation offered at Walt Disney World, including monorails, buses, and Disney Skyliner.
