The 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards were held last night, and while they aren’t as prestigious as the Oscars, they are voted on by the fans.
And last night, the fans bestowed several awards to Disney-related movies and series, with Marvel being a big winner in several categories.
The evening also showcased several clips of upcoming movies, including director/actor Taika Waititi presenting a clip from “Thor: Love and Thunder” showing Thor Odinson meeting Mighty Thor for the first time. It was a slightly extended version of the scene in the film’s first trailer.
Overall the show itself was rather lackluster, with many winners accepting via video, but it was edited down to only two hours this year, so it wasn’t too bad.
Those who were in attendance included Sophia Di Martino, who was excited to pick up her awards for “Loki,” and Chris Evans, who presented an award won by a fellow Avenger.
Here are all the Popcorn statue awarded to Disney-related projects at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards:
