Getting to and from the parking lot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World is about to get easier with the announcement that parking trams will be returning to the park by the end of this month.
Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom will once again be able to enjoy that one last ride back to their cars at the end of the day starting on May 27, 2022.
Disney announced the parking trams would start returning to Walt Disney World parks last December, but to date, only the Magic Kingdom parking trams have returned to use.
Parking trams carrying guests from the parking areas of the theme parks to the ticketing areas have been a part of Walt Disney World since the park opened in 1971.
However when Walt Disney World reopened after pandemic closure in July 2020, many guests were disappointed the parking trams did not return to operations right away.
The walk into the parks from the parking areas can be challenging for older guests, guests with mobility issues, families with younger children, and more, and that return to the car after a full day at the parks can be even more challenging.
Disney says the EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios trams will return by the end of 2022. As we hear of set dates, we’ll let you know.
