Pixar is ending our week with a new trailer from this summer’s “Lightyear,” along with a reaction trailer from its stars, and a new poster, too.
The new trailer offers more details about the plot of the movie.
Apparently Buzz goes on a mission to test “hyperspace” that ends up with him returning over 60 years later…only for him, barely any time has passed.
He knows no one, but the planet is under siege and all he has are his new friends.
Take a look:
In addition to actor Chris Evans voicing the real Buzz Lightyear (not the toy version), the trailer features the voices of Keke Palmer as Izzy, and Taika Waititi (yes, the director of “Thor: Love and Thunder) as Morrison.
Pixar decided it would be fun to film a reaction video to the new trailer using those three stars of the film.
It’s amusing to see them get so excited:

As if two trailers weren’t enough, Pixar also released this new poster for the film:
“Lightyear” will debut in theaters only June 17, 2022. The last three Pixar films – “Soul,” “Luca,” and “Turning Red” – were released on Disney+. I’m told there will also be an IMAX release for the film.
Be sure to check out all of our “Lightyear” coverage so you’re ready when the movie is released.
