Well no sooner did I say “Passholder previews will be held soon, too.” in my morning post about the “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” costumes, than Walt Disney World decided to send out emails opening up previews to passholders!
Update: looks like all the timeslots have been filled.
That’s right…check your emails because passholder previews of the new attractions are being held May 8th through the 10th, May 15th and 16th, and May 18th through the 21st.
And the good news is that Disney has confirmed that while valid admission is required to EPCOT for the date you choose (so watch the block out dates on your pass), Annual Passholders do NOT need to make a separate theme park reservation to enter EPCOT on the day of their preview.
Which is good, because those reservations are almost impossible to get for May, right now.
If I remember correctly, for the last passholder preview event for “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure,” an Epcot park reservation was automatically added to registered passholder accounts a couple of days before their preview.
So if you’re a Walt Disney World annual passholder, good luck in nabbing your spot to check out “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” early!
If you miss out, the coaster opens to the public on May 27, and there are usually soft openings around the openings of new attractions to try the ride early. I’ll let you know if I hear of any when they pop up.
In the meantime, make sure you read all of our “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” coverage to get yourself ready for this fun new ride coming to EPCOT.
If you manage to get a passholder preview reservation, let us know in the comments!
My wife happened to be checking email at 9:26am EDT when the invite popped in. She called me and I hopped on the queue to already find 15 min wait. We managed to book our spots successfully using her login. I checked my email immediately after and wait had ballooned to 90 mons. When I rechecked at 12 noon out of curiosity ( 2 1/2 hrs after reservations opened) all dates sold out. So basically, unless one was lucky enough to be looking at email exactly when Disney sent them out, you are, as usual, out of luck!
