Disneyland will celebrate the traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures when the Lunar New Year festival returns January 21 – February 13, 2022 to Disney California Adventure park.
Celebrating the Year of the Tiger, Tigger will join in on the fun, along with beloved Disney characters including Mickey and Minnie, the Three Little Pigs and more, all donning their festive attire.
“Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” will return during the festival. Hosted by Mulan and her faithful dragon, Mushu, it will feature dozens of spirited parade performers as they honor family, friendship, and the potential for a fortune-filled new year. This procession can be enjoyed multiple times throughout the day as it travels from Pixar Pier to Paradise Garden Park.
Raya from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film, “Raya and the Last Dragon” will also be appearing for the very first time at Disneyland. Guests can find her in a setting inspired by her native Kumandra, recreated in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
And it’s not a Disney festival without some good eats, and there will be special Lunar New Year-inspired food and beverage offerings at select dining locations throughout the park.
The Sip and Savor Pass will also be back to purchase for extra enjoyment as you taste your way through the four Lunar New Year marketplaces offering Asian cuisine.
The Lunar New Year festival is included with park admission. Food and beverage are additional. Valid ticket and park reservation for same park on same date required
