Disney Temporarily Suspends Most Walt Disney World Annual Pass Sales

Walt Disney Word annual pass logo

In an interesting development, it seems as though Disney has temporarily suspended sales of most of the annual pass types for Walt Disney World.

A look at the website when attempting to purchase a pass shows this:

The Disney Pirate Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass, and Disney Incredi-Pass are listed as “currently unavailable.”

The only one still being sold is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, which is only valid for Florida residents on weekdays, and subject to blockout dates including peak and holiday periods…which we’re about to enter.

Walt Disney World originally brought back the sale of new annual passes in September, but warned at the time they could pause sales in the future as they continue to manage park attendance.

A look at the pass reservation system for Walt Disney World shows no reservations were available the entire week of Thanksgiving, and December through the holidays, reservations are getting scarce.

Disney hasn’t commented on the pass sale suspension, or when new pass sales might resume, but we’ll let you know if they do.

  1. What in the entire world is going on??? As a long time AP holder and DVC member (20+years) we are so fed up with the obvious money grabs by Chapek and his goons. Everything has increased but with WAY less value than ever before. No Fast Passes, No Advance Attraction reservations, No Magical Express and now no Annual Passes. As a highly invested DVC member we always used to feel like the substantial membership cost and high monthly dues were worth it. NOT ANY MORE as our benefits have been taken away including OUR MEMBERSHIP CARDS !!!!.
We will use our home resort going forward but we are officially boycotting the parks. We will spend our time and money elsewhere in Florida and only use our resort to sleep. It’s sad but the magic needs to return and the greed needs to stop. FIRE CHAPEK!!
