The Book of Boba Fett on Disney+

Today Lucasfilm and Disney+ have dropped a new trailer and poster for the upcoming “The Book of Boba Fett” series, debuting December 29 on the streamer.

The series was first announced after a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian.”

“The Book of Boba Fett” finds the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Here is the new trailer for you to watch:

“The Book of Boba Fett” stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Morrison has not only played Boba Fett in several projects, but also played his father Jango Fett in “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.”

In addition to the Star Wars universe, Wen has also starred in Marvel’s “Agents of Shield” TV series, and voiced the 1998 animated version of “Mulan,” completing a Disney trifecta.

The series is being executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson.

The character of Boba Fett first appeared in 1980’s “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back,” so it’ll be interesting to see more of his life prior to what we know of him in that movie.
