Harmonious barges lit up at EPCOT for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary

We’re at EPCOT today for the media event to learn more about what’s new and what’s next at Walt Disney World for its banner year 50th anniversary celebration. We were excited to spot that the Harmonious barges had their giant screens lit up with the logo for the 50th anniversary. Let the celebration begin!

Harmonious is a new show that will take place in the World Showcase lagoon, right in the center of the park during the 50th anniversary.

The new show is helping to launch the multi-year transformation of EPCOT. “Harmonious” will take EPCOT guests on a thrilling journey through new interpretations of classic Disney songs as they’ve never been heard before, inspired and influenced by cultures and people from around the world. The music plays amid choreographed moving fountains and lights, lasers, fireworks and other pyrotechnics bursting spectacularly above and around World Showcase Lagoon.

“Harmonious” closes the curtain for each EPCOT day with the show’s hopeful message of the magic that happens when people join together. During the day the fountains are supposed to run creating a giant water show in the middle of the lagoon.
