Celebrate the everlasting bonds of family and the spirit of Día de los Muertos via Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park, now through November 2, 2021.
At Paradise Gardens inside the park, Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning film, Coco, comes to life with shows, decor, photo ops, and food.
Enjoy “A Musical Celebration of Coco” by the entertaining Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia several times a day.
As the lead storyteller Mateo recounts Miguel’s fantastical journey into the Land of the Dead, Miguel appears as a whimsical, hand-animated dimensional figure, joining a musical gathering that brings together a lively troupe of singers and folklórico dancers dressed in beautiful, authentic costumes accompanied by the Grammy® Award-winning Mariachi Divas.
Sample delicious Mexican dishes from the special event menu at Paradise Garden Grill, such as tacos, tamales, a hibiscus-flavored Jamaica slush, or Mexican hot chocolate.
Take photos with your family in front of the beautiful artistic mural entitled “Recuérdame” (“Remember Me”), which features Miguel and his friend Juan, or at the iconic Mexican Árbol de la Vida, and leave a remembrance note on the nearby Memory Wall to honor the many loved ones who have been…and will forever be…part of their lives.
If you visit during Plaza de la Familia, let me know what you thought of it. It sounds lovely.
