Marvel’s “Hawkeye” series has finally received a premiere date on Disney Plus.
The show, which finds Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, one of the original Avengers, will premiere on the streaming service on November 24.
“Hawkeye” also stars actress Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, a Marvel Comics character who took up the Hawkeye mantle after Barton. She was also a member of the Young Avengers in the comics.
Florence Pugh will appear on the series, too, as her Black Widow character Yelena Belova. Her future involvement with Barton was shown during the end credits scene of the movie.
In addition to the date announcement, Entertainment Weekly has released an official first look set photo from the series, featuring Bishop and Barton deep in conversation:
Other actors attached to the series are Vera Farmiga, Florence Pugh, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Zahn McClarnon.
Rumors are there may be a spinoff series based on Cox’s character, Echo, in the works, too. In the comics, Echo, whose real name is Maya Lopez, is a deaf Native American, and has the ability to perfectly copy another person’s movements or fighting style. She is also the adoptive daughter of Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin (last seen in the Netflix “Daredevil” series).
“Hawkeye” will be the fourth live-action MCU show to debut on Disney Plus.
