Disneyland and Walt Disney World To Require Face Masks Indoors Again Starting July 30, 2021

As COVID cases continue to surge in the U.S., Disneyland and Walt Disney World have made the decision to require face masks to be worn indoors by guests and cast members alike.

Starting tomorrow, July 30, 2021, face coverings will be required upon entering stores and restaurants, as well as throughout all attractions. They will also need to be worn while riding on enclosed transportation vehicles, such as Disney buses and monorails.

The mandate will apply to everyone in the parks two years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status.

Face coverings will, however, remain optional for all Guests in outdoor common areas.

Yes, I know it sucks to wear the masks on vacation, especially during the summer, when it’s so hot, but this is a safety measure to keep everyone safe. As more people get vaccinated, lessening the chance of transmission, Disney Parks will reevaluate the policy.

Please don’t make things harder on cast members, who are just doing their job in enforcing the face mask policy. Just mask up if you make the decision to visit the parks.

On a related note…what is your favorite Disney-themed mask to wear to the parks or just around town? I’m partial to my Marie mask:
