When you approach Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can’t help but notice the snowy peaks of a mountain rain looming off in the distance. Eventually, if you’re brave enough, the chance to journey to the top of the world on Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain beckons and you step into one of Disney’s most iconic Walt Disney World attractions.
Today, since we can’t physically be at our favorite Disney parks, Mickey and his friends have shared a new “Ride & Learn” video that offers a virtual ride on Expedition Everest, while imparting some fun facts at the same time.
Board the special expedition train and stow your hats and glasses if you want to survive this encounter with the Yeti of the forbidden mountain.
We love that this video was filmed at night. It’s one of our favorite times to ride Expedition Everest (although right now we’d be happy just to ride it at all).

To us Expedition Everest is one of Disney’s best themed thrill rides. From the moment you step into the queue all the way through the store, you are immersed in the world of a mountain explorer. The roller coaster also really pays off with fantastic moderate intensity thrills making it accessible for nearly every level of thrill seeker.
