Normally found holding court in their home inside the rotunda of The American Adventure at EPCOT, the Voices of Liberty, are coming together from their own homes to provide us a little comfort during this unusual time. This online video style is a natural fit for the a capella arrangements used by the group.
For this special video, they’ve chosen two songs signifying the importance of friendship, something we all are counting on a bit more than usual these days — “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Pixar’s Toy Story and “Friend Like Me” from Disney’s Aladdin.
Feel free to sing along.
Usually The Voices of Liberty are dressed in costumes representing period finery from the 1800s, so it’s a little odd to see them so casual. That said, the live entertainment of the parks is something I miss tremendously, so it’s great to see and hear them.
In addition to performing in the rotunda of the America pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase and the occaisional concert elsewhere, such as the Fourth of July show where multiple casts come together to perform.
We love to stop by and listen to their renditions of Americana, Folk, and Patriotic songs whenever we visit EPCOT. Be sure to sit inside the rotunda to get the best sound experience.
