New Behind-The-Scenes footage from Cirque Du Soleil’s “Drawn to Life”

We’re less than a month away from the first preview shows for “Drawn to Life,” the new collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and Disney that is replacing La Nouba in Disney Springs. We already had our first look at rehearsals for the new show and now we get to see the reactions of the show’s talented artists as they see the theatre where they’ll be performing for the first time.

The team has already put in months of training and rehearsals up near Montreal, Canada prior to arriving in Orlando to move into their new home, so to say they’re pretty excited to get the show staged and moved in is a bit of an understatement.

We like how the stage itself, while still obviously the same space that La Nouba performed in, has been transformed to represent the animator’s desk. Those large sheets of ‘paper’ are perfect for projecting animation clips on to as well. We love the theater itself because even the seats in top of the theater still feel intimately close to the performers. No nose bleed seats or Balcony 2 level here.

We expect to get our own preview of the show in the next week as part of the media event for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. So expect more details soon.

The official opening of “Drawn to Life” is April 17, but previews start in late March. Tickets are already on sale.
