Christmas decorations have arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the park kicks off its annual holiday celebration. They call it the Flurry of Fun. We stopped by for a quick visit this weekend and while there we checked out a few small construction projects going on at the park too.
We also took a visit to the outer rim planet of Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to see if they were celebrating Life Day. They were not. But that didn’t stop us from sharing what we know about “Rise of the Resistance” which opens on December 5th. Light spoilers at the end of this video:
There are two big feaatures of the Holiday Season at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and both are included in the price of admission.
- Sunset Seasons Greetings where the Hollywood Tower Hotel comes to live with jolly holiday digital projections featuring some of your favorite Disney stories. The show was upgraded last year to include amazing laser effects and falling ‘snow’ on Sunset Boulevard.
- Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! A digital projection show at the center of the park. Santa’s gone missing and only Lanny and Wayne from ABC’s Prep & Landing animated TV specials can save the day.
And cheery holiday decor all around the park, including Toy Story Land (but not Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge).
The new logo for the park has been added to the Center Stage area The giant ornaments are back in Echo Lake Gertie the dinosaur looks pretty good this year Hollywood Boulevard Night is my favorite time in the park during the holidays Path of the Jedi is officially gone Haven’t heard what’s going in there The wider pathway leading into Galaxy’s Edge is finished The new restrooms are not quite ready yet But looks like it will be soon.
A live stream of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! is scheduled for November 19, weather permitting. Return here to watch at 8:55pm ET
If you’d rather experience it in person, the Flurry of Fun runs through January 5, 2020.
